Listed buildings

A 1960s petrol station in Leicestershire has been made a listed building by English Heritage. Sir Nikolaus Pevsner would have approved. Sir John Betjeman rightly would not have done and might have penned a poem about it.
There should be a list of buildings to be demolished including many hideous neo-Gothic nonconformist churches. Centre Point should be listed  on that list instead of the list of buildings to be preserved. When one thinks of all the wonderful buildings destroyed in the 50s 60s and 70s. Only Queen Mary saved Carlton House Terrace.
