I feel myself inhabited by a force or being—very little known to me. It gives the orders; I follow.

Jean Cocteau

Stanley Baldwin

Mircea Eliade

I'm feeling sorry for Clinton. Her best year for a run would have been 2008, but she faced the second most exceptional Democrat politician of the era, after her own husband. Now she's a far more tarnished property and might have more serious health problems than she is letting on. She's also, possibly (we'll see), facing the most exceptional Republican candidate since Reagan. Exceptional doesn't mean 'good'.
