'This is our fifth praetorian coup in 10 years. Even the Roman senate would consider that too many.' (Tim Stanley)

People say 'Andy' Burnham Great Britain's next PM will be another Starmer but this is not true. Nobody resembles anyone else.

Nobody thought Mrs Thatcher would be any good when she became Conservative leader or PM but she was.

Mr Burnham is a human being and makes jokes and read English at Cambridge.

It's incredibly important that he has read good books. You don't need to read English or go to Cambridge to do that but I bet KS hasn't. Corbyn certainly not. Has Kemi? Sunak's fave is Jilly Cooper. Brown read a lot but politics and economics. Blair read the Koran and Ivanhoe.

I wrote about this here.

Tim Stanley behind paywall is here.

  1. It seems to me that the political system is so deeply and widely corrupt that I find it literally inconceivable that any new actual PM from the that system will be anything but a tool of global totalitarianism - or worse.

We have reached the point where the globalist totalitarians who gave us 2020 (Agenda 2030, Great Reset etc), are almost seeming like a relief, compared with the multi-front warmongering "agents of chaos" so evident in the US, EU and allied leadership.

But the totalitarians are nonetheless working towards something very bad for the world.

As for reading good books leading to a good (or better) PM: surely the refutation was Boris Johnson?

  2. According to this: https://strategic-culture.su/news/2026/06/23/andy-burnham-britains-next-prime-minister-gets-his-marching-orders/ maybe Burnham is actually one of the warmongering agents of chaos, rather than a globalist totalitarian? If so, it should soon become obvious.
