Mary Trump, the Donald's sister, in her Substack today

'The one thing Donald has always feared most is to be seen as a loser and the humiliation that comes with that. Given the perfect storm of his incompetence, increasing decline across several categories (the psychological, the cognitive, and the physical); and the sense that he is losing control—over himself and the narrative—and the desperation that goes along with that, it was perhaps inevitable that humiliation has come to stalk him at every turn. He humiliates himself on an almost daily basis and often in the most public ways imaginable. It feels like a bit of cosmic poetic justice.'

After that striking and convincing first paragraph her second paragraph talked about the corrupt Supreme Court and I stopped reading.

  1. Mary Trump is entitled to her view, but she's humiliating _herself_ a little here. What's most conspicuous about The Donald is how overwhelmingly competent he is, certainly compared to what she and most of his critics have to show for themselves. This despite his longstanding mouthiness & blowhard qualities, which his followers adore.

Just to mention a handful of his achievements, he's closed the border so treasonously opened by Biden's handlers, disabled the Venezuelan succour of police-state China, extended help to people being rinsed by credit-card & real-estate gouging, and that's just recently. Neck-and-neck with FD Roosevelt and Teddy Bear Roosevelt, El Trumpo should soon be the most important and also best president since Lincoln if he can keep up this ferocious pace.

He sounds unattractive as a private person, though I keep hearing praise from people who've met him. He's visibly growing tired, and the embarrassing Greenland episode, like Trump's foolish mistake of identifying himself in 2020 with the mRNA-injection genocide, show he is a genuine & vain, though well-meaning loose cannon.

But people gleeful at the fading of his powers should be asked where they were when a blatant deep-state-&-Democrat coup d'etat stole the 2020 election Trump so undeniably won? Those four years of an illegal presidency cost America deeply and made his present task yet harder.

Though he certainly is slowing down, the one-sidedness of people who accuse him of dementia after four years of an illegally puppet whose visible mental failings already in 2019 are part of what proves he never won that election ("81 million" votes? I don't believe Biden even managed 71 million) is astonishing. The fact that Biden's vice-president was quite possibly the lowest IQ of any VP in two and a half centuries just makes the irony of calling Trump senile even more hypocritical & dishonest.

Even if DJT fails to match the importance of the two Roosevelts in the long view of historians, he'll have had the unique distinction of equalling Grover Cleveland's record of two presidential terms with another president in between _and_ FDR's record of three wins in a row (although of course FDR won a fourth term before dying a few months into it).

If Trump manages to roll back the plot to impose a world police state we saw flexing its muscles in 2020 and 2021, reversing the censorship that served that project, and restore something of Western civilisation, he'll be more important than Lincoln.

Of course, that depends on some things we don't know yet, such as whether he is in favour of his version of the world-government putsch or against it altogether, and I have my doubts. The push for Greenland and the push for "Real ID" make me worry he is not as anti-Davos as he pretends. Let's see if the Clintons and Obama go to prison or not. Also I'd like to find out why Trump and Marjorie Greene fell out. There are disturbing signs for those who actually observe politics rather than just watch cartoons in their own minds.

There's lots to find out, but the people who have always reflexively hate Trump would be right for the wrong reasons. Leftists don't understand politics or history or much else, and their interpretation of Trump is marked by stupidity and spite.
