Strait of Hormuz is not international waters

In case any of my readers doesn't know this: the Strait of Hormuz is not international waters.

Half the strait belongs to Iran, half to Oman, which is playing a difficult hand carefully.

Passage through straits is regulated by the Law Of The Sea which Iran signed but never ratified and which therefore does not bind her, apparently.
