The likeness I was referring to is not very substantial, but of epistemic categories [for want of any less ridiculous word], so I cannot offer matching quotes... So it is here. The divisions that have opened up in society about the covid vaccines are not really about the covid vaccines at all: they are about what vaccination symbolises in this moment. What it means to be 'vaxxed' or 'unvaxxed', safe or dangerous, clean or dirty, sensible or irresponsible, compliant or independent: these are questions about what it means to be a good member of society, and what society even is, and they are detonating like depth charges beneath the surface of the culture.

Paul KingsnorthTomahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14355268309169462651noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-891289711377156224.post-27336302144345633332021-11-24T02:29:45.151+02:002021-11-24T02:29:45.151+02:00“There is freedom of speech, but I cannot guarante...“There is freedom of speech, but I cannot guarantee freedom after speech.”
Idi Amin

"A graceful taunt is worth a thousand insults."
Louis Nizer

"I didn't attend the funeral, but I sent a nice letter saying I approved of it."
Mark Twain

"He has all the virtues I dislike and none of the vices I admire."
Winston Churchill

"I've had a perfectly wonderful evening. On November 5, he was charged with “second-degree recklessly endangering safety with domestic abuse assessments, disorderly conduct with domestic abuse assessments and felony bail jumping.” At the time of these offenses, he was already “on bail after being accused of shooting at his nephew in July 2020.”

In other words, Brooks had already attempted to kill his nephew and his baby’s mother. He was a flight risk and a danger to the community. On November 19, the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office let him go on $1,000 bail.

Days later the firefighters were hosing down the blood off the streets.

The Reactionary
https://technofog.substack.com/p/they-washed-the-blood-off-the-streets?
Tomahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14355268309169462651noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-891289711377156224.post-33593691626258436082021-11-23T15:56:36.479+02:002021-11-23T15:56:36.479+02:00Open million dollar offers

If he takes the bet, I’ll happily write a term sheet. Who would turn down $5M for a blank piece of paper? If he was vaccine injured, he’d turn it down. If he wasn’t, it’s a free $5M he can keep or donate to his favorite charity. He can argue he doesn’t need it, but how about charities? When was the last time you saw Gavin give $5M to charity? The point is that even if he’s uber rich, he’d still take the offer in a heartbeat if he had nothing to hide. The fact he’s not accepting my offer shows most (but not all) people that he’s a hypocrite by forcing people to take a vaccine he knows can damage people for the rest of their lives.

Expired million dollar offers
FDA/CDC committee debate (expired November 19, 2021)
I offered any voting member $1M to debate our team. You got the money just for showing up to be questioned. No debate here to win. Just show up at the debate table for 5 hours. Up to 5 people could show up so worst case each person walks away with at least $200K for 5 hours of work. Who would turn that down? Turns out everyone did after I sent to their emails. Which proves to me one thing: they don’t like answering questions at all.

Steve Kirsch
https://stevekirsch.substack.com/p/who-wants-to-be-a-millionaire?Tomahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14355268309169462651noreply@blogger.com
