Intelligence from the Gulf

While making breakfast I listened to the first half of the Judging Freedom weekly intelligence round table: featuring two very canny retired CIA men, Larry Johnson and Ray McGovern. I recommend it 

I leant from Mr Johnson that the US is bringing forces home from the Gulf. 

He said that unlike in 2003 a build up of forces would invite immediate attack by drones. 

The figure we were told last year of 80 percent of Iranians wanting their government toppled came from a CIA funded organisation in the Netherlands.  

Quelle surprise!

I saw that statistic quoted more than once and also an informed surmise from a Westerner who has lived in Iran that only 10 percent of Iranians wanted regime change.  

Max Blumenthal, another regular on Judging Freedom, thinks something similar.
