She's very left-wing. It is hard to distinguish the left and right now. (It is also hard to distinguish the pseudo or centre left from the pseudo or centre right, but then it always was.)

  2. I see her point. But does anyone have any sympathy for Taiwan not wanting to be devoured by China? Is Taiwan wrong to appeal to the US for protection?

    1. The United States' One-China policy acknowledges that Chinese on either side of the Taiwan Strait maintain there is but one China and that Taiwan is a part of China.

The Mutual Defense Treaty between the United States and the Republic of China was in effect from March 3, 1955, to January 1, 1980. The termination of the treaty ended the obligation that both parties had to provide the other with aid and military support in the event of an attack.

    2. I have every sympathy for Taiwan and hope with all my heart that the USA won't provoke an invasion, as they have done elsewhere.
