The unnecessary and unprovoked Iran war might continue for many years.

By the time it ends American world hegemony will be never be the same, and thank God for it, but catastrophic economic consequences will ensue and perhaps soon, I imagine. 

Former US. Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Chas Freeman said yesterday that he thinks the Iran war might well go on for many years. 

All this is the fault of Netanyahu and Trump. 

I don't think Netanyahu losing power if he does will make any difference but a new president, if he's a Democrat or ideally an isolationist, might do, though American Democratic politicians are mostly as Zionist as their Republican opponents. The next Israeli prime minister will hold the same views broadly as Netanyahu but at least he will presumably be much less clever. At least it will be pleasant to witness Netanyahu and possibly Trump too behind bars.
