Four quotations

SHARE
“Remember, together with the Chinese we comprise a quarter of the world’s population.” Enver Hoxha, quoted by Simon Heffer in the latest issue of the Sunday Telegraph.

“Of course the UK is one state to the EU’s 27, but in economic terms our departure is equivalent to the 19 smallest members heading for the exit.” Henry Newman

An equivalent word in the Anglosphere is needed for the term "sovranismo", which exists in Latin languages (Italian, Spanish, French) to describe European populism - "sovereignists" perhaps? "Nationalism" isn't appropriate, despite being used on a regular basis.

If you engage in alarmist rhetoric about a return to 'fascism' across the world while simultaneously doing your utmost to subvert the outcome of a democratic referendum in your own country, don't expect me to take you seriously.
