An Englishman in love with Bucharest's blowsy charms
The United Kingdom as a whole has about 730 people per square mile -- not too different from the rest of Europe.Ah, but it's only England that matters.
Bucharest: 7,184 people per square kilometer. As of 2021, the population density for London is at 5,596 people per square km.https://www.statista.com/statistics/281322/population-density-in-the-uk-by-region/
Your figure for Romania is wrong. Romania has around 82 people per square *kilometer*. That works out to about 216 people per square *mile*. That's pretty much the same as Spain and a bunch of other European countries.
A kilometer is five eighths of a mile.
Yes, and a square kilometer is about two-fifths of a square mile. And Romania still has about 214 people per square mile, not "92".
I suspected something like that though O Level Maths is a long time ago.
