Young British arts graduates rarely sympathise with Israel, but you only have to compare how the BBC covers Ukraine and Gaza to see that the BBC is biassed against Russia and in favour of Israel.

I am talking about the BBC in English. Its Arabic service employs Arabs who are no doubt very opposed to Israel because they are Arabs. One even once spoke favourably of Hitler.

But the interesting story is how the media are accused of being biassed against Israel. This is a successful ploy to move the BBC in Israel's direction. Everything is a power game and power over the media is of fundamental importance for the people who support Israel. 

As they know, as more and more immigrants enter the UK more and more British people will be unsympathetic to Israel, even before you take into account the effect of the last two years. 

So Israel supporters have a fight on their hands, like the IDF which has failed to defeat Hamas or Hezbollah. It looks like endless conflict in the Middle East and over media coverage in the West. Israel dominates both at the moment.

'Those deceptions included a series of interviews with unidentified “party members” who claimed to have faced antisemitism in Labour. What Panorama did not tell viewers was that these talking heads belonged to an aggressively pro-Israel lobby group inside Labour called the Jewish Labour Movement.

'By the time Panorama aired its programme, senior members of the JLM had already been exposed in a series of filmed investigations by an undercover Al-Jazeera reporter. The series had shown the JLM’s leaders, such as Ella Rose, who featured prominently in the Panorama special, conspiring with the Israeli embassy to oust Corbyn as Labour leader. None of this important context was mentioned in the Panorama programme.'
