Day after she died

I am so cross with myself that I forgot to watch the King's speech live. How odd it feels to talk about the King. The service in St Paul's is spellbindingly beautiful,  far more so than any Novus Ordo Mass in English, but sad that a bishopess stood up and gave the sermon. What would Dr Johnson have said? How strange to hear the words 'God save the King!' after seventy years. Wonderful speech from backbenches by Boris. Shame though that he spoke from notes.
