The wisdom of crowds or not?

This article has a very interesting idea. The crowd knows its power now because of social media and this will weaken belief in democracy, argues Mary Harrington. She bases her argument, surprisingly, on bad reviews for a TV series loosely based on Tolkien, with a multiracial cast.

  1. Caroline Macafee: Interesting. I note that the Greens in Germany are saying they'll continue to support the war in Ukraine, no matter what the voters think.

    1. The German Green leader said exactly that. They are no longer pacifists.

      A German Green said some time ago that Germans were going to be a minority in Germany and that would be a good thing.

      Gus O'Donnell, who served British Prime Ministers Tony Blair, Gordon Brown and David Cameron as Cabinet Secretary and Head of Civil Service from 2005 to 2011, said British civil servants owe a duty to the world as a whole and not just to their country.
