"I like the Americans because they are good Christians, sincerely Christian. Because they believe that Christ is always on the side of those who are right. Because they believe it is a fault to be wrong, that it is immoral to be wrong. Because they believe that they are gentlemen and that all the peoples of Europe are, more or less, dishonest. Because they believe that a conquered people is a guilty people, that defeat is a moral condemnation, an act of divine justice." Curzio Malaparte The Skin, a book I haven't yet read.
It sounds like the Americans in Kosovo or Iraq but I think it might be out of date this year. In his second term Donald Trump's Administration thinks might is right and has proven to be anything but mighty.
Fortunately for him the Iranians seem to be gentlemen.
