I used to support the Democrats despite their enthusiasm for abortion until 1993. This article makes an American Hindu woman Democrat called Tulsi Gabbard sound a good thing, apart from her strong support for abortion, which will lose her working class votes.
How lucky America is to have so many devoutly religious voters, through devout Christians are becoming fewer even there and America recently ceased to be a majority Protestant country.

She has ties to cults and a history of singling out gay people for lurid accusations of perversion (most Americans would rather just ignore the issue) until abruptly and opportunistically changing her tune. She is a fringe figure who will never be president.
