"What is the news ? " asked the bird. Yudhisthira [whose name meant: firm in all battles] replied calmly:"In this cauldron filled with the grease of great delusion, with the fire of the sun and the fuel of day and night, stirring with the ladles of months and seasons, Time the great cook is cooking all of us living beings."

“The state is the great fiction by which everyone endeavors to live at the expense of everyone else.” Frederic Bastiat, the French economist.

"I made a list of the greatest 100 books to read, started in November 2021 and am at book 86 now " Seen on Facebook.

"Among private renters in Greater London, around a third are white British. In greater London’s schools just over one in five school children are white British. The old conversations about “integration” and “assimilation” don’t really even make sense any more. In many places people cannot really integrate into the traditional majority culture because it doesn’t exist any more." Daily Telegraph, 8 June 2025

"Netanyahu must preserve the radical right-wing fantasy of ethnic cleansing in Gaza for political survival. For this, he needs the war to continue," Nir Hasson, Ha'aretz journalist on podcast 10 June 2025. Interesting that he thinks it is only a fantasy. Let's see.

'The Palestinian question remains unresolved because it is insoluble; and it is made twice as bad by the central problem of the Arab-Muslim demographic within the Hebrew state, a bomb that could ultimately prove fatal. It's the same problem as in Europe.'
Guillaume Faye, 8 Oct 2016. Islam in Europe is a huge challenge and will probably, as Neagu Djuvara and Bernard Lewis predicted, lead to a Muslim Europe, but only if we allow this. I do not see this as a reason to back Netanyahu in his adventures or to share the blame for his actions. He is fighting for his country (though is he serving her interests?) not for the West. I am not sure Israel is even part of the West. I do see the Algerian 'war' (terrorist campaign) in 1954 as the start of a long post-colonial conflict with Muslim extremists, played out mostly in Europe.
