His inaccuracies are somehow not lies but not accidental. He was just asked this in a press conference in the Oval Office.
REPORTER: Is Israel committing genocide?
TRUMP: Did anyone commit genocide on October 7th? What do you think about THAT? That was genocide, at the highest level. Murder, genocide, call it whatever you want. Babies chopped in half, heads cut off, arms cut off.
Of course it was not genocide. Of course babies were not chopped in half. No babies were deliberately killed. One baby poor Mia Cohen was killed in crossfire. I suppose Mr Trump made up the stuff as he went along but did not intend it to be taken literally.
How many Israelis were killed accidentally or intentionally (because of the Hannibal Doctrine) by the IDF? We don't know. We know some Israelis were killed by the IDF. Hundreds possibly. Making estimates is fraught with much peril but the story that 40 babies were beheaded was certainly not true but repeated by Biden and colours Mr Trump's thinking.
