Free at last! Naturally an overcast cool morning. I wandered into the Mavrogheni church by the National Peasant Museum, a place with unhappy associations for me. A service was going on. I didn't know that the church dates from 1787 or rather the very beautiful iconostasis does. How blessed the Orthodox are to have so beautiful a liturgy and not have sermons about economics or the climate. Brâncuși sang in the choir as a student.
