    Oh, like President Trump Professor Krugman just joking, just being sarcastic, just making "a fact not a statement", just telling it like it is, he never said it, or if he did you didn't understand it or just wanted to criticize him no matter what he said.

    Krugman meant it. He meant it as a joke but also he meant it seriously. He has made it clear before that he can't wait for elderly whites to die and the arrival of a non white majority. He sees Trump as a blip and is probably right.
