A barbarous, unprovoked invasion by the USA that accuses others of terrorism

If you want to know what's going on in the world ask a person who doesn't follow the news. he will know.

I asked my friend in London on Sunday what he thought about Iran and he said he had not read the newspapers and knew nothing apart from my blog article that I had emailed him earlier that day. Yes but what do you think about it?

He paused and said: Well, I think it's not good to attack foreign countries for no reason.

I congratulated him. He understood much more than many people who read the British papers.

The Daily Telegraph is written by people who identify British interests with Israel's but even in the Telegraph, the most biassed and least trustworthy paper there is, I find this.

Bombs have struck hospitals, schools and residential buildings in some of the heaviest strikes on Tehran since the war began.

Witnesses described “apocalyptic” scenes under the relentless barrage on Tuesday as food and medical supplies dwindled and the death toll rose.

The US and Israel began strikes on Saturday, decapitating the Iranian leadership and crippling its military in the opening days of the war.

Donald Trump, the US president, warned on Monday of an escalation, saying “the big one” was coming.

On Tuesday, extensive bombing appeared to spread through civilian areas, bringing terror to the streets of Tehran, the capital.

The Iranian Red Crescent reported 787 dead across 153 cities by Tuesday morning, with the toll rising as strikes expanded to 504 locations in 1,039 recorded attacks since Saturday.

The initial strikes killed Ali Khamenei, the supreme leader, at his residential compound along with multiple family members, while Israel and the US also targeted military sites across the country.

However, nearly 200 children have been killed since the bombing started. Residents said the official count vastly understated casualties in Tehran, where rescue operations struggle to reach victims buried under collapsed buildings.

“They have been bombing us without pause today, and the sound of explosions never stops,” Kamran, a Tehran resident, told The Telegraph. He added: “They don’t care where they are hitting. I have felt the shockwaves several times already.”

“They are striking buildings where families live,” he said. “After each explosion, people rush to help – and then another bomb hits the same area.”

Families ration meals to make supplies last while children go to bed hungry and the elderly with medical conditions cannot find their medications and diabetics run out of insulin.

Parents are watering down milk to make it stretch further while some families have not eaten in two days and bakeries that remain open face long lines.
