Facebook reminds me of things I posted on this day in other years

2010. In the beginning, there was nothing. And God said, 'Let there be Light.' And there was still nothing, but you could see a bit better

2011. Romanians are theologians who understand original sin. They are also metaphysicians who know that time and space do not exist.

2011. "The Irish are a very fair people, sir. They never speak well of one another." (Dr. Johnson.) He might be talking about Romanians.

2011. "The name of this infinite and inexhaustible depth is God. That depth is what the word God means. And if that word does not have much meaning for you, translate it, and speak of the depths of your life, of the source of your being, of your ultimate concern, of what you take seriously without any reservation." Paul Tillich

2011. "Fervent atheism is usually a screen for repressed religion. Wilhelm Stekel

2017. The baby boomers, eternal children that they are, have much to answer for, but now they are trying to put things right, with Brexit and (though we'll see how that goes) with Trump. You might call it a shaft of light before the sun sets.

Also from 2010
