With Mandelson's encouragement Tony Blair overruled the then Prince of Wales, now the King, and had Andrew appointed Trade Envoy in place of the Duke of Kent. 

Why did Mandelson want Andrew to be trade envoy, a position for which he must have known he was completely unfitted? 

Did the two men know Epstein at that stage and if so is this of any importance?

If the two leaked market sensitive information to Epstein they will go to prison. 

I wonder how often such information is leaked and by whom? 

I have thought for a couple of weeks that Lord (as he still is) Mandelson would be wise to take the boat train to Dublin (no need buying a rail ticket to give his name) and then in Dublin buy a flight to Tel Aviv, having already made sure he would be given asylum there (a formality as he is Jewish, therefore has 'the right of return' and Israel gives asylum to all sorts of criminals including many paedophiles). 

The former Prince Andrew could have flown to the Middle East, as Andrew Lownie expected him to do. 

There, outside the Christian or post-Christian world, whatever he is alleged to have done would not worry anybody.
